The Ghost- Tuesday morning
The longer her time as a bird went on, the more time Sabine spent on the Ghost, trying to avoid the embarrassment of changing back in public. Besides, she had a good setup here, including kindly provided finger paints, which was why the floor of her room was now covered in brightly covered bird tracks. It'd started out as an accident, but then she'd decided to see what kinds of patterns she could make just by running around on her tiny feet, which had been surprisingly fun. It was probably a good thing she changed back before she decided to start experimenting with wing splatter.
She'd turned back during the night, waking up relieved and fully human again. She'd avoided all awkwardness this time and was able to just get dressed in privacy, which she was extremely grateful for. Which also reminded her that she should send another letter to Astrid now that she had hands again.
And then she opened the door and poked her head into the hall, calling, "Hello?"
[Open for those who might be there!]

It was shaping up to be that kind of week already, but at least there was no stench.
And so he was nearby when Sabine called into the hall, peering his head out into it a moment later and offering her a smile.
"Hey, welcome back," he replied. "Did the room work out for you okay, there?"

It looked better.

This probably wasn't accurate, but she did like the things.
"Birdseed and bread can't be that exciting."
... He hadn't wanted to feed Sabine worms. He suspected she might not mind, either.

"It's not exciting, and it's not filling when you're person-sized. I'm starving," she admitted.

He pulled out a meiloorun and set it on the counter.

Hera wasn't much of a cook, and while Kanan could get fancy by comparison courtesy of a wealth of odd jobs, he'd been raised on 'functional,' too.

Soooo awkward.

There was a pause, and then he added with a grimace, "She chased me when I bolted."
Just to add to that awkward, right there.

"That's unfortunate."

Kanan. That wasn't how cats worked. If they weren't supposed to be somewhere, that was exactly where they wanted to be.

"Hi, Sabine!" she called back. "Welcome back!"

The dorms were fine, but she had to admit it'd been all over better here this last week.

"There is slightly more paint in there than there was when I first got here," she said, and it was all Kanan's fault, "but it looks good."

But she'd been all cute! And tiny! And happily hopping around on tiny birdie feet!

It improved the whole (already great) ship, really.
