Room 210- Tuesday afternoon
Sabine was really very tired of being a bird. Sure, flying was cool, and she'd still actually gotten some painting in, but she missed speaking, and thumbs, and her armor, and food. Also, she was kinda side eyeing her roommate pretty hard. Mostly, she just wanted to be herself again.
And just like that, one minute she was hopping around on a half-painted bright pink desk, and the next, she was Sabine again, with decidedly fewer clothes than she'd started out with. She yelled, and rushed to find her clothes- the dorms were quiet, no one would pick that moment to come to the door, right?- trying to them on as fast as humanly possible.
Real cute, Fandom.

But roommates streaking across the room with a yell at the exact same moment she opened the door was no match for any level of distraction.
"Oh!" she let out a sound of surprise before her brain caught up with the situation and she jumped back into the hallway and shut the door. She was hardly a prude; it was hard to be one when you grew up with your mother taking lovers while you were usually still there in the same room, but still...that was more of Sabine that she would ever expect to see, even if just for a mere moment.
"Sorry!" she called out through the door. "I didn't know you were back!"

But she at least got the body glove on before calling, "I never went anywhere! It's safe now!"
Safe aside from the mortification.

There was a good possibility, one that she couldn't entirely deny no matter how much she'd wanted to, that the reason for the burst of chaos behind was because Sabine had just turned back from that bird. And Astrid was not ready to deal with the fact that the bird might not be there any more. She could give Sabine all the time in the world, if she needed it.

She was starting to put her actual armor pieces on though, because she'd missed it and she needed to feel like herself again.

I never went anywhere, she had said, the surprise of the moment definitely couldn't erase that from Astrid's hearing, but...
"You need help?" she offered. "You okay?"
Those seemed safe enough questions, really.
