A Portalocity terminal... somewhere- Thursday

Sabine was in some form of hell, she was sure of it.

She was still pretty new to bounty hunting on her own, so it wasn't too shocking when she got into a bad situation without backup. It made her mad, but everyone had a bad time of it occasionally. Next time she'd be a little less ambitious. Out of desperation, the plan had been to hop a quick portal out to throw them off, and then come back to resume as normal.

Look, being less ambitious next time didn't mean she wasn't going to get them this time.

And her plan probably would have worked, if Portalocity hadn't booked her on a maze of portals that had had her traveling for the better part of a day now, and Sabine was annoyed.

"Okay," she said from under her helmet, trying to calm herself down, "I have been to some kind of zombie world. I have been to a version of Hoth that is melting. I have been to an actually normal stop for three minutes before being sent here, and I have an hour till my next connection. All I need is to get home."

"Like I said before, we're doing the best we can," said the bored desk clerk. "This is what we have concluded is your best path to your destination."

"I have another three connections to go," Sabine said.

"It could be worse."

She expected him to tell her how, like 'it could be worse, you could have forgotten to pack clean underwear' or whatever. But no. He was really just telling her it could be worse.

"You know the longer this takes, the more time I have to plot against you and your e tire company," she said.

"Yes, of course," he said, somehow sounding more bored. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"You didn't help me the first time!" she said, and with a grunt of frustration, she stomped off to sit in one of the seats with her arms folded across her chest.

Only three more connections. She could do that. And then, you know, revenge against Portalocity.

[Anytime I can make it Portalocity's fault, I will. NFB, NFI.]
